From the shack to the garden without drilling!
There are many stories surrounding window feedthroughs, often involving extremely high attenuation and poor quality. But how can you reliably connect the coaxial cable to the antenna if drilling and breaking through walls are not an option?

This is precisely the challenge that Dr. Holger Altmaier (DL5HA) took on. He headed an accredited testing laboratory for over 30 years and now uses his expertise in amateur radio.

In his detailed experience report, DL5HA not only tests the Diamond MGC50 window feed-through for its mechanical stability and ease of installation. He analyzes the decisive technical values – both in the test setup and in real-world use, when the feed-through is installed and squeezed into a modern window frame. Find out first-hand whether the stories were true or could be refuted.
For a limited time only -
exclusive window feed-through set!
For anyone looking for a simple solution without drilling, we are offering this window feed-through set for a very limited time!

Take advantage of this opportunity now and secure top quality – but be quick, because there are only a limited number of items available at this reduced price!

The Diamond MGC-50 window feed-through is an ideal solution for installations without wall openings. It uses an extremely flat cable with a thickness of only 1.8 mm. At the ends are connection boxes with PL sockets. The load capacity is specified at 150 W PEP on shortwave, 40 W on 2 m, and 30 W on 70 cm, and the supplied mounting material secures the connections mechanically to the window frame. For professional and durable installations, especially outdoors, WiMo self-vulcanizing sealing tape is ideal. This highly elastic tape adheres perfectly to materials such as PL connectors, coaxial cables, PVC, or neoprene and ensures a reliable, waterproof, and water vapor-impermeable seal. Thanks to its high dielectric strength, it is also ideal for the electrical insulation of cables and connections to permanently protect the installation from the effects of weather.

Once it's gone, it's gone – so grab yours now before stocks run out!

In the early days of amateur radio, coaxial cables were sometimes simply laid through the door gap — and if the signal suddenly disappeared while transmitting, it was usually because someone had closed the door. This “door-through effect” is actually documented in old club reports and was often referred to at the time as an involuntary field strength test.

Dust covers for Yaesu FTX-1 Field and Optima

Unfortunately, you can't use your radio every day, and to prevent your valuable equipment from gathering dust, there are now practical dust covers available for Yaesu FTX-1 Field and Optima. These fabric covers fit perfectly and leave enough space for cables and connectors. The polyester/cotton fabric used is smooth and easy to care for, yet soft enough to protect even sensitive displays. The back is flexible thanks to slits on the sides, leaving plenty of room so that you don't have to disconnect the antenna cables every time. Each of the dust covers is embroidered with the manufacturer's logo and the name of the radio in two colors, which is not only practical but also looks good!
