The Xiegu G90 is a compact HF transceiver based on modern SDR technology that covers the entire shortwave range from 0.5 to 30 MHz. With an output power of up to 20 watts, it operates on bands from 160 to 10 meters in SSB, CW, AM, and optional FM modes. A key feature is the integrated automatic antenna tuner, which reliably and quickly matches even non-resonant antennas with a standing wave ratio of up to 3:1, often eliminating the need for external accessories.
It is operated via a detachable unit with a color LC display, which shows the settings as well as a real-time spectrum and a waterfall display. This separation of the display and the main unit allows for flexible installation in the vehicle or space-saving placement in the shack. Technically, the G90 impresses with SDR-typical functions such as variable filter bandwidths, noise blanker, and notch filter, which ensure clear reception even in difficult conditions, while interfaces such as CAT and ACC allow computer control.
